Chagrin Valley Council of Churches (CVCCCC)
This organization, composed of churches in the Chagrin Valley area, meets four times a year. The ministers, priests, and representatives of these churches come together to discuss and plan both liturgical and social concerns events for the Christian community of this area.
Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service
The Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving the congregations of the BACC (see above) gather together to thank God for their blessings. A combined community choir raises their voices in prayer. When Holy Angels hosts this event, we are always looking for people to act as hosts and hostesses to the community.
Good Friday Stations of the Cross
For the last few years, the CVCC has sponsored an Outdoor Stations of the Cross. This event draws hundreds of Christians throughout the area in a 2 mile walk through downtown Chagrin Falls on Good Friday. The event always begins at 12 Noon at the Gazebo in downtown Chagrin Falls.
Lenten Ecumenical Services
During the season of Lent, the BACC member congregrations gather to reflect on the mysteries of our salvation. Each church takes a turn hosting a Lenten soup supper and prayer experience on one of the Wednesdays of this season. Volunteers are needed to organize this even when Holy Angels acts as host.
Clothing Drive
Each fall and spring the CVCC pool their resources to sponsor a clothing drive for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and agencies of the Geauga Human Services. The truck that accepts these items is stationed at Valley Presbyterian Church because of its central location across from Tanglewood Mall. Each church provides people to staff the truck to help others unload their donated items.
